Mecalac is adding to its eSeries range of 100% electric machines by introducing the new eS1000 Swing Loader.

The machine “optimizes battery use for an unprecedented eight-hour autonomy,” Mecalac said.

The French OEM based the design of the new 1000-liter electric model on the diesel-powered AS1000, but in addition to running with zero emissions, Mecalac said the eS1000 causes less noise and vibration disturbances to make it possible to use the new swing loader indoors and in sensitive environments.

The eS1000 also has reduced cycle times, maintenance costs and accident risks, according to Mecalac.

Built with stability in mind, the new swing loader can lift a load and turn it 180 degrees once the real axle is locked without any loss of balance, even with the wheels fully steered.

Mecalac said the eS1000’s stability in all positions and on all terrains will transform the logistics of construction sites.

The eSeries range now includes the eS1000 and the e12, the first 11-ton electric excavator introduced by Mecalac in 2022.

The company said an urban jobsite with three electric Mecalac machines will save an average of 64 tons of CO2 in one year compared to the same models running on diesel engines.
