Epiroc is set to unveil a range of upgraded construction and demolition equipment at Bauma 2025 in Munich. Among the highlights are the latest enhancements to its hydraulic breakers, auger drills, and demolition pulverizers, along with improvements to its drilling and ground support solutions.

Kicking off its lineup of updates, Epiroc has revamped its EC 100 hydraulic breaker, incorporating a new replaceable wear bushing system to simplify maintenance. The replaceable insert can be rotated 180° when worn, allowing operators to keep working while a replacement is sourced. The updated model is also 180 mm shorter and 40 kg lighter, for improved handling and efficiency.

The EC 100 also features hybrid technology with an integrated nitrogen piston accumulator, ensuring consistent impact energy. To minimise noise and vibrations, it includes the VibroSilenced Plus system, and the model’s advanced control technology, which comprises an integrated control valve and EnergyRecovery system is said to further improve efficiency.

Moving to drilling applications, Epiroc’s new Auger Drills Compact (ADC) range is designed for carriers weighing between 1 and 10 tons, and offers drilling diameters from 150 mm to 800 mm in soft to hard soil.

The nine-model ADC lineup includes high-torque hydraulic motors with improved flow capabilities, to enhance productivity in a variety of drilling applications.

Other key features include an anti pull-out shaft, oversized bearings for better shock handling, and extreme-duty radial shaft seals to reduce service intervals.

“This range is designed to meet the demanding needs of various drilling applications,” said Anja Kaulbach, Global Marketing & Communications Manager at Epiroc.

On the demolition side, Epiroc is expanding its tool lineup with the DP 3220, designed for carriers weighing 26-45 tons. The model includes a Performance Booster, which the company states can enhance performance by up to 20%, reduce jaw cycle time by up to 25%, and improve fuel efficiency. The DP 3220 also offers 360° hydraulic rotation and a modular design to simplify servicing and part replacement.

According to the company, the modular design of its Demolition Pulverizer range models, which include the DP 1820, DP 2320 and DP 4220 models, can handle both primary and secondary demolition applications.

Turning to drilling rigs, Epiroc has also updated its PowerROC T35, with the latest version said to reduce fuel consumption by up to 40% compared to its predecessor, due to its new Auto Engine Speed Control system.

A new 12-inch touchscreen interface that enhances usability has also been included, while the rod-changing system is now 45% faster, streamlining drilling operations.

Beyond attachments and drill rigs, Epiroc will showcase advancements in digital geotechnical instruments following its acquisition of YieldPoint, which designs and manufactures ground movement sensors and telemetry products.

“The unification of the two brands is set to produce high-tech ground support solutions that will change the way safety in mining is perceived,” the company said. “Visitors to Epiroc’s stand at Bauma will have a visual representation of how this union will work underground.”

The company will also present its newest rock drilling tools, including the COP QM50CR, which is the newest and most powerful model in the company’s latest generation of COPROD rock drills.

Epiroc will also showcase the COP SC19X-HF (High Frequency) rock drill. An updated version of its previous COP SC16 offering, the COP SC19X-HF can drill holes with a diameter of 51 to 89 mm and achieves “19 kW of output power with lower impact energy per hit but higher hitting frequency” when compared to its COP SC19X-HE (High Energy) sister version, which will also be on show.

Epiroc will be located at booth FS 1208/1 in the outdoor area at Bauma 2025.
