Steelwrist to unveil third generation tiltrotator
17 January 2024
Steelwrist, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of quick couplers and tiltrotators for excavators, has announced the largest ever product launch in its history.
The Sweden-based company will unveil its first third generation tiltrotator, as well as new lightweight grapple and hydraulic compactor attachment ranges, at the opening the group’s new facility in Hamburg, Germany, in March.
Stefan Stockhaus, Steelwrist CEO, said: “By now many forward thinking excavator owners and operators around the world have understood the massive efficiency improvements that a tiltrotator adds to an excavator. Obviously good for our customers’ competitiveness as well as for the environment.
“However, our products not only enhance excavator efficiency but also play a crucial role in addressing climate change-related challenges and with our third generation tiltrotator we hope to set a new standard. I believe it will be the best tiltrotator ever built, by anyone.”
According to the manufacturer, its third generation tiltrotator “will demonstrate several innovative features both from a hardware and software perspective”.
Steelwrist said: “This will include new technologies for coupler locking safety and easy maintenance. As part of the Quantum control platform a combination of new hardware components and installation support guidance will be shown that will take easy installations and remote support to a new level.”
Alongside its new grapples and hydraulic compactors - which the company says offer an “unparalleled low oil flow to compaction power ratio making it perfect under a tiltrotator”, Steelwrist will also launch a new product category that will target excavator efficiency.
While further details about the product category have not yet been revealed, all of the company’s new products will be shown at the opening of the Hamburg facility, as well as the upcoming Intermat exhibition, due to take place in Paris, France, from 24 to 27 April, 2024.
The inauguration of the Hamburg site and the joint product launch will take place on March 13 this year. Home to subsidiary Steelwrist Deutschland, the opening of the facility is the latest step in a strategic expansion plan that aims to meet growing customer demand.
In June of 2023, both Steelwrist France and Steelwrist Finland opened new facilities in their respective countries, strengthening the group’s European presence and enabling it to better support its equipment dealers and customers.
