World Demolition Summit event almost at capacity
30 October 2024
Next week’s World Demolition Summit (WDS) looks set to be the biggest event specifically for demolition contractors to ever take place in Europe.
Around 400 hundred industry professionals and leaders from around the world have already signed up to attend the 2024 event, with more contractors continuing to book tickets, despite the event now being just days away.
European contractors at the event will be joined by attendees from as far away as India and South America, with significant contingents also coming from the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Leila Steed, WDS Programme Organiser, said: “It’s fantastic that so many people have and are continuing to book tickets.
“Although, we are now so incredibly close to capacity that I really would advise anybody that is still hoping to come, to get in touch with us directly as soon as you can.”
Those wishing to enquire about tickets for the WDS, which will be held in Stockholm, Sweden, on the 6 and 7 November, can do so by contacting [email protected] or [email protected]
The Summit has grown significantly since its inaugural event in 2009, and today it is firmly established as one of the major annual events for the demolition industry.
Attracting an international audience, the summit comprises an evening networking drinks reception on the 6 November followed by a full day conference and a gala dinner where the annual World Demolition Awards are presented.
The conference attracts key industry experts who speak on a range of subjects, including presenting some of the most challenging demolition projects - offering their expertise and insider knowledge on how they approached projects, equipment used and the delivery of contracts.
This year’s WDS will include speakers from Skanska, Colemans, Aker Solutions and UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority-owned company, Nuclear Restoration Services (formerly magnox), to name but a few.
