World Demolition Awards - About our judges

Over the past 15 years, the World Demolition Awards (WDA) have come to be regarded as among the mostly highly respected and highly prized industry awards.

While much of this reputation is attributed to the superior calibre of the demolition contractors that enter for the awards, it is also down to the integrity and expertise of our judges - who collectively have over 300 years of demolition industry experience.
Our judges are not only leaders in their fields whose work has contributed to the setting of high standards for demolition, they are also business innovators who are continuing to help improve the industry for the future.

World Demolition Awards 2023 - Judges
Henrik Bonnesen, Cowi, Denmark
Henrik has extensive experience in handling projects in relation to building pollution and demolition, from mapping of hazardous substances in buildings to preparing tenders for remediation, renovation and demolition.
Francisco Cobo, European Demolition Association
Francisco “Paco” Cobo was president of the European Demolition Association (EDA) in 2018 to June 2022.
Dan Costello, Costello Dismantling Co, USA
Dan founded Costello Dismantling almost 40 years ago.
Clinton Dick, Liberty Industrial, Australia
Clinton is the founding director of Australia’s leading industrial deconstruction company, Liberty Industrial.
Patrick Frye, Cardem, France
Patrick has been involved in the demolition industry since 1986 and is currently in charge of major projects at Cardem.
Jim Graham, Winter Environmental, USA
Jim has over 45 years’ experience in environmental remediation/hazardous waste and radiological clean-up and demolition and has managed more than 2,000 projects.
James Milburn, President, National Demolition Association, USA
The current President of the National Demolition Association, James is the founder and managing principal of Milburn Demolition and over the past 20 years has been a key leader and advocate for the demolition industry.
Bill Moore, ERM Corporation, USA
Bill was president of the National Demolition Association from 2003 to 2005.
Stefano Panseri, President of the European Demolition Association
Stefano is well known throughout the industry for his work as CEO of Italian contractor Despe and its “Top Down Way” method of demolition.
