QMS starts UK rollout of Propel mobile crushing and screening range

Quarry Manufacturing & Supplies (QMS) has begun introducing Propel Industries’ mobile crushing and screening equipment to the UK market following its appointment as the manufacturer’s sole distributor for mainland UK and the Channel Islands.

The agreement will initially cover Propel’s tracked mobile crushers and screens, complementing QMS’s existing range of static aggregate-processing equipment.

The first machines to be introduced will include the TMJ Series of track-mounted jaw crushers and the TMC/QM Series of track-mounted cone crushers. QMS will also offer Propel’s track-mounted vertical shaft impactors (VSI), screens and scalpers.

The equipment is intended for applications across the aggregates, quarrying, surface mining and recycling industries.

The mobile range incorporates onboard electric generators designed to reduce fuel consumption, operating costs and emissions compared with conventional diesel-powered machines.

The equipment also features Propel’s proprietary drive system, including electric motor-driven head pulleys. The manufacturer said this arrangement improves energy transfer, reduces mechanical losses and provides more consistent performance.

QMS managing director Jonathan Beck said, “We are excited about the possibilities of the Propel range of mobile crushing and screening equipment. This means our customers will gain access to a comprehensive range of aggregate-processing equipment. Propel offers field proven fuel efficient and sustainable advanced integrated mobile and stationary crushing, screening and washing systems.”

The company will provide sales, servicing, maintenance, spare parts and aftermarket support for the machines through its existing UK operation.

“This collaboration has been formed to strengthen our capabilities, delivering greater value through aggregate-processing solutions,” Beck added.

QMS will be introducing the Propel Industries range of mobile crushers and screens in the coming months.

The company, part of the Propel Group, is India’s largest and leading manufacturer of both stationary and mobile equipment for the extractive industries, noted QMS.
