Powerscreen launches secondary scalping screen range

Mobile crushing and screen equipment manufacturer Powerscreen has launched its new Titan range of secondary scalping screens for recycling applications.
Comprising the Titan 600, 1300 and 2300 models, the range is described as “a simplification of Powerscreen’s high-performing Warrior range” and was developed in response to user trends among its customer-base.
According to the Powerscreen - part of the Terex group - the Titan scalping screens incorporate key Warrior range features that its customers love, which have been adapted to “a different section of the market at an attractive price point”.
Sean Loughran, business line director of Powerscreen, said: “As we continue to review the global market, we are seeing a split in the applications in which our Warrior range is being used.
“While some are screening large sized materials, others are being used as secondary scalpers, such as after a crusher, or in the recycling market—screening topsoil, construction and demolition waste and biomass materials.”
“The Titan range has been specifically designed with the customer, for the customer as a more cost-effective machine to cater for those secondary or recycling screening applications. It has both a range of features and unrivalled performance that will increase the bottom line of any of its owners.”
Among the models in the range, the Titan 2300 stands out as its concept and design makes it a “completely new machine”.
It is equipped with a 1500 mm wide feeder belt, a twin gear box drive and a combination of impact bars and impact rollers for optimum power usage.
“It also has the steepest hopper ever designed by Powerscreen to enable ease of emptying without bridging, with an eye specifically on the recycling market,” the company said.
The Titan 2300 has low feeder fitted as standard, with a medium speed option for low density material which, while sacrificing some torque, can run at up to 50% faster than standard.
“To cater for the recycling market, there is an option for magnetic head drums on all three conveyors to carry the metallic material back down the conveyor and away from the stockpile,” added Powerscreen.
The machine, which has full access walkways down both sides of the screenbox, is also available in a Hybrid Dual Power version. This means it can be used with standard diesel fuel or connected to an external electricity supply.
