Point of Rental makes Syrinx 365 available on the cloud

Point of Rental has made its Syrinx 365 platform available as a cloud-hosted version.

The company, which announced the news at its annual Syrinx Conference in Reading, UK, last week, said it means that the next generation of the rental management software will be more easily accessible for hire businesses.

Syrinx 365 Cloud highlights include a global search bar and a public API, which allows for integrations to accounting software and ecommerce solutions.

Customisable dashboards are said to provide an improved user experience, allowing each user to bring to the forefront the widgets they need.

It also includes navigational areas to make it easy to link activities and quickly information such as weather, reports and internal messaging.

Meanwhile, payment processing allows for secure tokenisation and realtime payments at the store counter or online, while mobile apps for operators, workshop engineers, and drivers consolidate data and are designed to cut down errors that come with paper-based processes.

Businesses operating in the UK can also Syrinx 365 Cloud to become Cyber Essentials accredited, which Point of Rental said helps users mitigate risks from common cyber attacks. 

Mark Goodrum, UK managing director, Point of Rental, said, “Most hire businesses are shifting their IT infrastructure to the cloud. Going cloud-based allows them to immediately realise capital and operational expense savings while increasing data security. Syrinx 365 Cloud takes the power of Syrinx 365 and puts it into the hands of any user with an internet connection.”

Point of Rental CEO Wayne Harris added, “365 Cloud’s advanced technology stack equips users with new features and apps through API integrations while simultaneously enhancing data security. Bringing it to the cloud ensures users are always on the newest, most feature-rich and secure version of the software without having to manually update each time.”

Syrinx 365 is also available as an on-prem solution for companes that want to manage their own server and IT needs.
