Achim Puchert to take over responsibility for the regions Europe and Latin America
The Supervisory Board of Daimler Truck Holding AG announced the appointment of Achim Puchert as a new member of the Board of Management, with a term extending through Nov. 30, 2027. Puchert will take over as CEO of Mercedes-Benz Trucks responsible for the regions Europe and Latin America, starting Dec. 1, 2024, from Karin Rådström, chairwoman of Daimler Truck Holding AG.
Puchert began his career in the former Daimler Group in 2002 and worked in international positions in Key Account Management until 2010. He became executive assistant to the head of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service Mercedes-Benz Trucks, followed by an assignment as senior manager, Alliance Office for Daimler’s former cooperation in Russia. In 2015, Puchert took over as director of International Operations, leading several joint ventures and international industrialization projects of Mercedes-Benz Trucks. In this role, he was also responsible for the worldwide Completely Knocked Down (CKD) sites and the strategic Network Management of Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Since 2022, Achim Puchert has led the truck and bus business in South America as CEO and president, Mercedes-Benz do Brasil and Latin America.
Commenting on Puchert’s appointment, Rådström said: “Achim Puchert is an experienced strategist and transformation expert, but even more importantly, Achim is a manager who leads through empowerment, motivating his teams to perform at their best. He has impressively demonstrated his knowledge and skills in his current role as CEO of Mercedes-Benz do Brasil. In less than three years, he has worked with his team to bring a previously challenging business with below-average margins back on track. I look forward to working with Achim in his new responsibility.”
Purchert’s successor in his current role will be decided and communicated at a later date.
