18 July 2023
KHL Group is pleased to welcome Leila Steed as the new editor of Demolition & Recycling International (D&Ri) magazine.
Leila succeeds Steve Ducker, who will remain at KHL, taking up a new position with Off-Highway Research, the company’s market research business. Steve will continue to work on the World Demolition Summit (WDS) and Awards, which will take place in October this year.
Leila has worked as an editor at KHL for more than four years, latterly as news editor across titles including D&Ri, Construction Europe, International Construction, Access International and International Rental News.
Speaking of her new role, Leila said: “Steve and I have worked closely together for over four years, and during that time he has been an amazing mentor to me.
“He has done a great job on the magazine and created close bonds with the demolition and recycling community. My aim is to continue that work and I look forward to getting to know the industry.”
Murray Pollok, director of content at KHL, said: “We wish Steve the best of luck in his new role at Off-Highway Research and are pleased that his involvement in the demolition sector will continue through the WDS.
“We are lucky to have someone as hard-working and talented as Leila to step into his shoes, and wish her the best of luck in her new role.”
WDS 2023 will take place in Toronto, Canada, on 17 and 18 October and will feature speakers from Thompsons of Prudhoe, Priestly Demolition, EDF and Rye Group.
