Hyundai supplies next generation machines to British enabling works business Rhodar

Leading United Kingdom-based enabling works contractor Rhodar has upgraded its fleet after a series of new contracts including a £6 million (US$7.2 million) regeneration project in Leeds in the northern England.
The company – whose services include demolition, remediation and asbestos removal – has taken delivery of two of Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe’s flagship A series crawler excavators from dealer Taylor & Braithwaite.
As well as the HX330AL and the HX480AL excavators, Rhodar has purchased a range of attachments from hydraulic breakers to munchers and buckets for its larger earthworks and brownfield regeneration projects.
Remediation John Davies described the deal as a “huge investment”.
The HX480AL and HX330AL crawler excavators are powered by Stage V Cummins diesel engines and comply with European emission standards. Feature include IPC (Intelligent Power Control) and EPIC (Electric Pump Independent Control), enhanced cabin visibility, eco gauge and lifting mode ensure superior productivity and efficiency.
Rhodar was set up in the mid 1970s as an asbestos abatement company and now employs over 500 staff at 14 facilities nationwide.
