G Webb Haulage adds new Hyundai loader

British recycled aggregates provider G Webb Haulage has added a new Hyundai HL960A wheeled loader to its fleet.
The company, which operates two recycled aggregates sites and a virgin stone quarry, invested in the new machine as a replacement for its 18-month-old HL960.
The 19.2 t HL960A, which is equipped with a straight edge 3.3 cubic metre (116 cu ft) capacity bucket, is currently operating at the firm’s Cambridgeshire site.
It will be used to deal with large quantities of recycled aggregates and soils, for which there is a growing demand.
Nigel Missen, site foreman at G Webb Haulage, said: “With the amount of material we dispatch on a daily basis, having dedicated bays for each material wouldn’t be possible as we stock hundreds if not thousands of tonnes of the most popular products.”
“This means we need to be travelling from one end of the site to the other, sometimes after each truck. The Hyundai is ideal for this, it’s the right size for the site to give us the perfect combination manoeuvrability and performance.”
The recently updated loader is part of Hyundai’s A-Series equipment range and replaces the manufacturer’s predecessor model of the same name.
“I like the steering wheel, it’s responsive and light to use,” said Nigel.
“I have been very impressed by the noise, or lack of it in the cab. My old machine was quite quiet, but this is far better.”
G Webb’s HL960A joins a fleet that comprises a variety of earthmoving machines and over 50 8-wheeled and articulated tippers.
In addition to loading duties, it will be used to help process incoming materials, alongside the company’s Hyundai HX140 tracked excavator, Sandvik crusher and three-way McCloskey tracked screener.
