Faymonville Group, a manufacturer of heavy load and specialized transport equipment based in Luxembourg, has chosen Little Rock, Arkansas, for its first production facility in the United States. This new venture will expand the company’s footprint while strengthening its position in North America.

Located on a 54-acre site at the Port of Little Rock, the facility will take advantage of Arkansas’s infrastructure, including major interstate access, Class I railroads, navigable waterways and proximity to a national airport. The initial construction, covering 409,000 square feet (38,000 square metres), will expand in a second phase to 624,000 square feet (58,000 square metres).

Faymonville’s long-term investment, exceeding US$100 million, is expected to bring approximately 500 new jobs to the area and generate a significant economic boost, with 389 additional indirect jobs projected across Little Rock and neighboring communities. This initiative is estimated to deliver a $239 million economic impact to the region.

With a product portfolio that includes Max Trailer, Faymonville and Cometto brands, the company specializes in semi-trailers, low-loaders, modular vehicles and self-propelled trailers. Faymonville produces around 3,000 transport units each year, delivering them to 125 countries and generating $500 million in revenue in 2023.

For its Little Rock site, Faymonville’s initial plans include manufacturing individual components, while full production is anticipated by early 2026. The facility will also house expanded service and spare parts support for Cometto-branded vehicles, reinforcing Faymonville’s commitment to serving the US market.

“I’m thrilled to welcome the Faymonville Group and the Faymonville family to Little Rock,” said Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. “Faymonville is known for its technology and innovation with a focus on sustainable production. Their site at the Port of Little Rock provides access to road, river, rail and runway - intersecting in the heart of the state’s Capital City. This announcement means hundreds of high-wage jobs for our residents and emphasizes the importance of expanding the Port.”
