Yanmar introduces its first compact track loaders to North America
06 February 2024
Yanmar Compact Equipment rolled out its inaugural North American compact track loader – the TL100VS – earlier this month, and the company plans to introduce three new models later this year.
Matt Deloglos, VP of Yanmar North America’s commercial division, said, “Our team has worked tirelessly toward this goal for the last four years with designing, testing and manufacturing these machines as well as getting the plant and our team ready to launch these products.”
The Japan-based manufacturer said its expansion into offering compact equipment in the US was deliberate, as they purchased – in 2019 – an American compact track loader manufacturing facility to accommodate production. The facility formerly belonging to ASV Holdings – located in Georgia, US – today serves as the US production hub for Yanmar’s compact loaders.
The TL100VS is the first of Yanmar’s line of compact track loaders, which will also include the TL65RS, TL75VS and TL80VS.
With its bucket extended at maximun height, the machine is roughly 11 feet (3.4m) tall. It measures just less than 6.6 feet (2m) wide.
Ranging from 67 to 103.5hp, the construction-grade vehicles, the company said, are designed for midsize to heavy-duty projects.
The TL100VS weighs 10,555 pounds (4.79 tonnes) and has a Yanmar diesel four-cylinder, intercooled turbo engine. It has a 34-gallon fuel tank with a five-gallon DEF capacity.
It has an undercarriage track width of 17.7 inches (45 cm), an on-ground track length of 67 inches (170 cm) and is suspended by two independent torsion axles. The track is powered by dual hydraulic drive motors.
“The new line leverages Yanmar’s more than 100 years of industry expertise and reliability standards,” said the company. “The compact track loaders also signal Yanmar’s emergence as a comprehensive compact equipment solutions provider for its dealers, fleet customers and individual operators in the construction, utility and rental industries.”
