INNOVATION: CR450 Diesel Crusher

Developed in response to customer feedback, the CR450 Diesel Crusher from Dragon Equipment addresses the need for a larger, more powerful machine that retains the quality and clever features of their CR300 Crusher.

Powered by the Kubota D722 3-cylinder water-cooled 19-hp diesel engine, the CR450 offers high torque for efficient crushing of even the hardest materials. Its 33-litre fuel tank enables over twelve hours of continuous operation, enhancing productivity and reducing downtime.

The CR450’s Hardox jaw, with a 460 mm x 205 mm mouth aperture, significantly improves its capacity to handle larger material, making it suitable for a variety of demolition and recycling tasks. The machine’s compact, all-terrain design ensures enhanced stability and manoeuvrability on challenging sites.

A standout feature of the CR450 is its inherent support for recycling efforts, allowing waste concrete to be crushed on-site and reused or sold as aggregate. The CR450 also boasts user-friendly innovations such as instant jaw adjustment, a fold-up conveyor for easy transport, and an optional remote control for operator convenience.

“What truly sets the CR450 apart is its sophisticated ‘no stress’ and ‘anti-stall’ technology. This system detects high loads and switches jaw movement into reverse to prevent jamming and stalling, ensuring reliable and efficient operation,” says Dragon Equipment.

COUNTRY: Germany
INNOVATION: KMC1200S Demolition Excavator

The shift towards sustainable energy in Europe demands the decommissioning of coal and nuclear power plants, necessitating their safe dismantling and ecological rehabilitation.

The KMC1200S by KTEG stands out as a demolition excavator designed to meet these challenges with exceptional performance, durability and versatility.

Engineered for the rigorous demands of power plant deconstruction, the KMC1200S features a redesigned boom capable of operating a 15-t demolition shear or a 12-t scrap shear at heights up to 28 m.

Its custom chassis ensures optimal kinematics for front operations, while the enhanced slewing ring, adapted from a 250-t crane, significantly boosts durability and strength.

The machine’s stability is further ensured by a 30-t counterweight. Notably, the KMC1200S can be disassembled and reassembled without the need for an external crane, simplifying transport and setup.

The KMC1200S’s debut project in May 2024 involved the dismantling of the 60-hectare Voerde power plant, a critical step in transforming the site into a green hydrogen production facility. This project highlights the machine’s ability to efficiently and safely manage large-scale demolition tasks.

According to KTEG, the KMC1200S offers an innovative solution that enhances safety, reduces costs, and accelerates project timelines.

INNOVATION: 825 E Demolition

The 825 E Demolition excavator has been developed under the motto “Performing while Transforming”. Building on the popular 825 E material handler, the 38-tonne machine now features a fully hydraulic, unloadable counterweight, enhancing its efficiency and transportability.

Key features include a long reach of 14 m, high maneuverability, and a powerful 129 kW engine, making it adept at selective demolition, sorting, and handling tasks. The quick-change system allows operators to easily switch between attachments, such as demolition hammers, from the cab, increasing operational flexibility.

The machine can be transported in one piece on a low loader without needing to detach equipment, ensuring it’s ready for immediate use upon arrival.

The 825 E Demolition is designed for urban construction sites and confined spaces, thanks to its 360° swivel range and compact design.

Safety and operator comfort are prioritized with a stable, telescoping crawler track and an elevating cab that can be raised up to 2.8 meters and tilted up to 30°, providing better site visibility and protection from debris.

The new counterweight innovation reduces the transport weight by approximately 10 t, eliminating the need for a special permit and setup work, making the 825 E Demolition immediately operational upon delivery.

Sennegbogen says: “This machine is an ideal all-rounder for selective dismantling, sorting, and demolition, especially in space-constrained urban environments.”
