Eiffage to demolish lower levels of 17-storey highrise
09 September 2024
Eiffage, through its subsidiaries Eiffage Construction and Goyer, has been appointed by the SFL (Société Foncière Lyonnaise) to renovate the Paris - SCOPE commercial building.
Located in the city’s 12th district and once the headquarters of Natixis, the project will see the 17-storey building undergo a major structural overhaul, with significant demolition works to its lower levels set to be undertaken to redevelop the building’s forecourt and allow for the creation of an extension.
Restructuring works to the SCOPE building, which was built in 1974, will also include the replacement of the facades, roofing work, and architectural and technical enhancements.
The project will deliver a “service pavilion” hub, comprising a business centre and meeting rooms spread across a total floor area of almost 25,600 sq m.
Eiffage said: “This is an environmentally ambitious operation, targeting six different labels and certifications: BREEAM, HQE, Biodivercity, BBCA New, BBC Effinergie Renovation, and CircoLab.”
The works are expected to take 24 months, with completion scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
