05 December 2023
The National Demolition Association (NDA) has today announced the first individuals to earn the new Certified Demolition Supervisor (CDS) certification.
27 individuals successfully achieved the CDS certification, which serves to demonstrate their expertise and competence in all aspects of demolition, including safety, environmental, operations, and people management.
James Milburn, President of the NDA, said: “We are proud to recognize these individuals for their commitment to professional development.
“Earning a certification from NDA demonstrates that these individuals have the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today’s demanding workplace.”
“The CDS certification allows demolition professionals to elevate themselves, their employers, and the demolition industry as a whole by formalizing our minimum requirements to be considered a competent and professional demolition supervisor.”
According to the NDA, which had 47 individuals take part in the beta test pass/fail exam, its CDS designation promotes safe and quality practice through its ongoing requirements for professional growth in the demolition industry. The NDA had 47 individuals participate in the beta test pass/fail exam, which was conducted and managed remotely by the association’s Certification Board.
“Congratulations to our first class of Certified Demolition Supervisors. You have earned the respect of your peers in the industry,” said Peter Banks, Chair, Certification Board of the NDA, TRM Demolition.
In its official announcement, the NDA offered its congratulations to the following individuals on obtaining the CDS certification:
