ARJES, a shredder manufacturer based in Merkers, has been named one of Germany’s most crisis-resilient companies for 2024 by the SZ-Institut (Süddeutsche Zeitung) and Creditreform. The company ranked 75th out of 5,460 companies evaluated in the study.

Commenting on the achievement, Managing Partner Thomas Hayn, said: “It’s just a great company with a bunch of great professionals.”

The study by Süddeutsche Zeitung identifies adaptability, efficiency, and robust organisational structures as key factors in navigating crises. In response to these challenges, ARJES has made significant investments in its infrastructure and partnerships.

Since April 2023, the company has expanded its production capacity at its facility in Krayenberggemeinde Merkers, recruited additional qualified staff, and strengthened its market presence through the revival of the EuRec brand.

ARJES has also established a strategic partnership with RBG GmbH and deepened its collaboration with other companies within the LIG Group, reflecting its focus on enhancing its market position.

The company attributes its resilience to its product range, which it says combines versatility, competitive pricing, and a robust international sales and service network. ARJES’ commitment to the recycling industry is evident in its motto, “Recycling starts with A(RJES),” which underpins its approach to product development and customer service.
