The new Roles and Career Development in Demolition document  is intended to support the creation of training programs for various demolition-related roles.

According to EDA, the guide provides an overview of job descriptions, career paths, and the educational and training requirements for demolition professionals.

It is also designed to assist organisations in developing training programs, particularly in regions where structured demolition education is not yet established.

The EDA said: “This guide was developed through knowledge-sharing within the EDA Working Group on Education.”

The publication, which compliments the Roles in Decontamination guide released by the Institute of Demolition Engineers - the EDA’s sister assocation, is aimed at demolition and decontamination companies, as well as organisations involved in training within the sector.

For more information, the guide can be accessed via EDA’s website.
