Tennessee Valley Authority’s demolition lead to deliver keynote at WDS 2025
31 March 2025
D&Ri is pleased to announce that Jason Curtstinger, Senior Manager of Demolition at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), will deliver a keynote address at the 2025 World Demolition Summit (WDS), taking place in Nashville, Tennessee, this November.

Jason joined TVA in 2019 as Engineering Manager for heavy civil projects and moved into the utility’s Demolition Program in 2023.
Since then, he has played a central role in the takedown of five coal plants, one gas plant, and multiple ancillary structures across the TVA network.
A civil engineer by training, Jason has also led efforts to foster collaboration within the demolition industry, including the creation of peer networking groups and regular contributions to industry events.
Leila Steed, WDS Programme Organiser, said: “It’s a real privilege to have Jason on board for this year’s conference.
“While his career is impressive enough on its own, it’s his openness in discussing both the successes and the lessons learned of large-scale utility demolition that really stands out.
“His presentation on one of the sector’s most recent high-risk projects will be a key moment in the WDS 2025 programme.”
At WDS 2025, Jason will reflect on a recent high-risk utility project, sharing lessons learned around cross-disciplinary coordination, safety management, and the wider challenges of overseeing one of the busiest demolition portfolios in the regional energy sector.
This year’s WDS will bring demolition professionals from around the world to Nashville for two days of presentations, project case studies, and the annual World Demolition Awards.
