NDA boot camp for supervisors goes virtual

Premium Content

The US National Demolition Association (NDA) is to run a virtual version of its Superintendent Boot Camp, which first took place at last year’s Demolition Austin in-person convention and expo.

The training course, which the association describes as “the only course in the industry geared directly at job site supervisors”, will take place on 16 and 17 June with five hours in class each day.

It will be led by Steve Schwartz, estimator and project manager at construction materials company Haines & Kibblehouse, and David Sinclair. Between them they have more than 80 years’ experience of demolition, decommissioning, dismantling and remediation.

The course covers a rage of important topics for site superintendents, including:

  • Preplanning
  • Safety awareness
  • People management
  • Documentation and record keeping
  • Communication
  • Equipment management.

Superintendent Boot Camp course production is sponsored by Cat.
